All other practicon products we have ordered are outstanding quality. This illuminator not so much. The pros are it is less expensive then other brands in the catalog and take AAA batteries but the cons are it broke in just a few months where as the other illuminator in the catalog we have had for over 10 years with no problems - and the Dr. is pretty hard on the illuminator. Go with the other product.
