If you have a New Product already fully developed and packaged for resale

Introducing an existing product to the market through Practicon is simple and straightforward. We start by evaluating a product sample, pricing, and related inventory information. If we can determine that your product will be a suitable, practical, and profitable addition, we will add it to our line as our marketing schedule permits.

Products that we purchase for resale should already be packaged and labeled for retail sale to end users. Inventory is held at our facility in Greenville NC unless specific drop shipping arrangements are made. We strive to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers, supporting your product through an industry-leading sales presentation and world-class customer service. Wholesale distribution programs are also available.

If you have an Idea for a product

We are proud of the fact that many of our new product ideas come to us from dental professionals across the country. Motivated by a desire to help others avoid the traps and pitfalls of developing, protecting, manufacturing, and marketing a product or idea, Practicon takes particular interest in helping guide dental inventors through the ideation-to-launch process, when we can. Our product development mission is to develop exciting products that are relevant and useful in everyday practice—or in short, practical innovations. We manage shared ideas with the utmost respect and integrity, treating every idea as if it were our own, striving to keep the trust inventors place in us. That is the only way Practicon can expect to have the opportunity to learn about an inventor’s “next” idea. Generally, Practicon does not charge for our product development support and guidance. Instead, we profit from the sales when and if the product reaches the market, usually rewarding the inventor with a negotiated royalty, plus the chance to see their product Make Dentistry Better!

We advise anyone with an unprotected idea to first execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect all interested parties before the start of any cooperative discussions. Because the possibility exists that we may already be considering a similar idea, we are not able to review unsolicited new product ideas without a suitably specific NDA. Once the NDA has been executed by all parties, we will be happy to discuss how to proceed regarding the evaluation, development, manufacture, distribution, and licensing of your product idea, as our schedule allows. Please note that Practicon does not guarantee that any new product or idea under evaluation or in development will be manufactured, marketed, or sold by Practicon, Inc.
