The principle of tooth removal using EAZ OUTS is one of compression and displacement. The EAZ OUT blades are designed to compress the periodontal ligament, while serrated vents on the blades lift the tooth atraumatically - without elevating!
The EAZ OUT instrument technique is quickly mastered. Tips are inserted into the periodontal ligament space in the direction of the long axis of the tooth or root. Their thin blades penetrate the ligament space to the depth of full ligament compression. While using a gentle, luxating motion with increasing apical pressure, a "hydraulic" effect occurs that displaces the root from the socket. The elimination of undue force reduces trauma to soft tissue and bone.
