Building on the award-winning design of the patented V-Ring, the new V3 Ring^® Sectional Matrix Retainer Ring offers several key improvements, making it the most versatile sectional matrix ring for Class II composites:

• V3’s spring is made entirely from super-elastic nickel titanium (NiTi). The spring strength has substantially been increased to offer an even broader range of action. NiTi offers superior memory retention so V3 will return to its original shape, consistently deliver optimal separating force and will not expand over time like traditional stainless steel retainer springs.
• V3’s v-shaped tines are made from glass-fiber reinforced plastic. The tines are shaped to suit the buccal and lingual surfaces of posterior teeth, providing superior adaptation and the ability to restore a tooth even when a cusp is missing.
• The V3 spring angle is steeper relative to the occlusal plane. Stacking is now easier since there is more room to undertake multiple restorations simultaneously.
• V3 is stable in forceps, both mesially and distally, making it easy to handle and less likely to be dropped. Built-in lip on the plastic inner part of the ring ensures more stability during placement and allows it to be used with all rubber dam forceps.
• A narrow size V3 Ring with closely set tines is available, ensuring ideal separating force on smaller and difficult to separate teeth.
